The PortLog team is located globally to serve our customers. Many of them with a background in maritime and shipping, the team has deep expertise in customer service, process management, IT, solutions development, integration, finance, management, business strategy, and innovation.

CEO
Bruno Deszczynski
Bruno joined the Marcura Group in 2011 and brings over 20 years of experience in the technology, logistics and maritime sectors.
His roles include Software Engineer, Principal Consultant and Chief Technology Officer.
He has led projects for customers such as BP, Cargill, PTC, VW and Mercedes.
Bruno has a PhD in computer science and power engineering, focusing on optimisation algorithms.

Director, Strategic Customer Partnerships
Sigrid Teig
Sigrid joined Marcura Singapore in 2020, where she is responsible for the service and support of regional customers, covering a range of services and platforms.
Prior to Marcura, Sigrid worked as an independent consultant focusing on process improvements in the shipping industry and has previously held several management positions with a major dry bulk operator.
Sigrid holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Emma Wilson
Emma joined Marcura in 2018 and is based in Geneva, Switzerland. She works closely with new and existing customers throughout the EMEA region across DA-Desk and PortLog.
Before becoming part of the Marcura team, Emma worked in various roles within and outside the shipping industry. She has always had a strong passion for delivering high-quality customer service and value and supporting process optimisation and change management initiatives.
Emma holds a BSc in Mathematics and French from the University of Manchester.

Zoe Kent
Zoe joined Marcura in 2022, is based in London, UK, and supports existing, new, and future customers across Europe.
Zoe has worked in the shipping industry in the tanker sector for the last 10 years, covering worldwide operations and chartering positions. She started her career in a VLCC/Suezmax brokerage company before moving to a trading house where she worked with Chemical Tankers and Barges.
Zoe is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Helen Trundle
Helen joined Marcura in 2021 and is based in the UK, supporting our existing, new and future customers across Europe.
Helen has worked in the shipping industry since 2001 and is an experienced IT management professional with a strong background in freight trading, IT transformations and maritime application developments.
Before joining Marcura, Helen was a Maritech (Sea) manager responsible for providing support services for applications used by key players in the shipping and offshore industries.
Helen has a BSc in Maritime Studies from the University of Wales, Cardiff and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS).

SVP, Product
Kim Ahler
Kim joined Marcura in 2016, setting up the Marcura Nordics entity in Copenhagen.
Since then, he has been focused on resolving the industry-wide challenge of time in port and optimising the planning and execution of port calls. Today, he holds the responsibility of SVP for the PortLog product.
Before Marcura, he held management positions in companies like Maersk and IBM for three decades, and he ran a consulting company focused on IT improvements in the global maritime environment.

VP, Product
Robbert Engels
Robbert joined Marcura in 2023, where he is responsible for leading the PortLog product development and product team, focusing on improving the customer value of PortLog in close collaboration with our customers.
Before joining Marcura, Robbert was responsible for leading the product development and data science activities at a startup in Maritime and Port technology and led product development at the Port of Rotterdam. He also held various roles in the finance industry, such as mobile app and web development.
Robbert holds an MSc in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

VP, Service Delivery
Tom Bennett
Tom joined Marcura in 2017 and has held several positions across the group, primarily focused on application scoping and roll-out, service delivery and user satisfaction.
Based in Dubai, Tom is responsible for ensuring PortLog customers receive the highest level of customer service, including system support, feature evolution, and data availability.
Tom has worked in the shipping industry since 2012 and, before joining Marcura, held several different roles at Inchcape Shipping Services.
Tom graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK, with a BA in History and an Advanced Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Key Account Manager
Harry Busby
Harry joined Marcura in 2021 and has worked in the maritime industry since 1993, with over 20 years in chartering and as a shipbroker, mainly within the dry bulk sector.
Before joining Marcura, Harry worked in maritime tech, primarily in product development, vessel performance monitoring, and optimisation software sales.
Harry holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and information management and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Jackie Jarvis
Jackie joined PortLog in 2022, bringing with her over 17 years of experience within the shipbroking industry.
Drawing upon her extensive experience in shipping administrative support, she assists the PortLog team in providing high-quality customer care.
