Meet the PortLog team

The PortLog team is located globally to serve our customers. Many of them with a background in maritime and shipping, the team has deep expertise in customer service, process management, IT, solutions development, integration, finance, management, business strategy, and innovation.

Bruno Deszczynski

Chief Executive Officer

Bruno joined the Marcura Group in 2011 and brings over 20 years of experience in technology, logistics and maritime sectors.

His roles include Software Engineer, Principal Consultant and Chief Technology Officer.

He has led projects for customers like: BP, Cargill, PTC, VW and Mercedes.

Bruno has a PhD in Computer Science in Power Engineering, focusing on optimisation algorithms.

Sigrid Teig

Commercial Director

Sigrid joined Marcura Singapore in 2020, where she is responsible for the service and support of regional customers, covering a range of Marcura’s services and platforms.

Before joining Marcura, Sigrid worked as an independent consultant focusing on process improvements in the shipping industry and has previously held several management positions with a major dry bulk operator.

Sigrid holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

She has lived and worked in Singapore since 2009.

Kim Ahler

Director of Digital Transformation

Kim joined Marcura in 2016, setting up the Marcura Nordics entity in Copenhagen.

Since then, he has been focused on resolving the industry-wide challenge of time in port, and today holds the responsibility of Director of Digital Transformation.

He is also managing the Group analytics service, with his favourite tagline being “What’s the business story?”

Before Marcura, he has held management position in companies like Maersk and IBM for three decades – and been running a consulting company focused on IT improvements in the maritime environment.

Emma Wilson

SVP Customer Success & Growth

Emma joined Marcura in 2018 and is based in Geneva, Switzerland. She works closely with new and existing customers worldwide, focusing primarily on PortLog.

Before becoming part of the Marcura team, Emma worked in various roles within and outside the shipping industry. She has always had a strong passion for delivering high-quality customer service and value and supporting process optimisation and change management initiatives.

Emma holds a BSc in Mathematics and French from the University of Manchester.

Anca Jorgensen

Customer Success Manager

Anca joined Marcura in 2022 to support PortLog customers predominantly located in the Nordic region and is based out of Copenhagen, Denmark. She backs customers throughout the onboarding process and provides continued support throughout the customer journey.

Anca previously worked in the tanker industry as a senior maritime specialist and demurrage analyst at Statoil Marketing & Trading North America.

She is experienced in ship logistics, programme management and leading negotiations.

She has also worked as a communication specialist and project manager within pharmaceuticals. She handled stakeholder relations and created content for website design and development projects at Novo Nordisk.

Anca holds a master’s degree in communications and public relations from Southern New Hampshire University, USA.

Tom Bennett

Commercial Manager

Tom joined Marcura in 2017 and has held several positions across the group, primarily focused on application scoping, roll-out and service delivery.

Based in Dubai, Tom is currently responsible for ensuring PortLog customers have access to the leading database of restriction information and supporting new and existing customers on their PortLog journey.

Tom has worked in the shipping industry since 2012 and, before joining Marcura, held several different roles at Inchcape Shipping Services.

Tom graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK and holds a BA in History and an Advanced Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Harry Busby

Key Account Manager

Harry joined Marcura in 2021 as a Key Account Manager with the PortLog team.

He has worked in the maritime industry since 1993, with over 23 years in chartering and as a shipbroker, mainly within the dry bulk sector.

Before joining Marcura, Harry worked in maritime tech, primarily in product development, vessel performance monitoring, and optimisation software sales.

Harry holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and information management and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Jackie Jarvis

Commercial Support

Jackie joined PortLog in 2022, bringing with her over 17 years of experience within the shipbroking industry.

Drawing upon her extensive experience in shipping administrative support, she assists the PortLog team in providing high-quality customer care.
